Happy Halloween

So here is the adorable little treat I came up for Zach to give out at school and to his friends. I saw a box of rice krispie treats at wal mart, 12 came in a box for just $3.00! I knew I could make something fun with them! So I measured it and made a fun front and back piece, and the great thing was both pieces fit on a 4 X 6 so I just had them printed out at Sams, cut them out and taped them to the rice krispies! I think they came out pretty cute! So today's freebie, since it's Halloween is the front of the rice krispie. You can do the same thing I did, make it into a card...or something else you can dream up! Just remember it's for PERSONAL USE ONLY! FrontBack

Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin

I created this game for my son's preschool class for their Halloween party. We will be playing pin the nose on the pumpkin! I made it 16 X 20 and of course there are noses too. I will get these printed out at Sam's club, cut out the noses and then we will use some poster putty to stick them on for the game. Super fun! This game is now available in my Etsy store for only $2.50, so if you need a last minute game for Halloween go on over and pick it up!

And yes some more birthday fun

So you will just have to visulaize until next week when I have a picture of the final project! Instead of goody bags for this party I am making rice krispie treats. I will wrap one up and tie it with some fun ribbon and then this is the label that will be going on top of it. I know personally I throw away much of the stuff that comes in goody bags, or it gets lost or broken or ends up cluttering up a drawer. So to avoid spending money on things that will porbably be thrown away I figured I would make something yummy. I think I will carry on this tradition from now on too! They will look so cute when done!

More Birthday Fun!

Sorry I missed yesterday with showing some more birthday items I created! It was the big day! So we spent it celebrating! But his party isn't until Saturday so I do have more to show you. Here are some adorable cupcake wrappers to match his fireman theme. I love how these turned out, they will look so much cuter than just plain cupcake wrappers. And I will be frosting the cupcakes with a swirl of red, yellow and orange frosting to look like...fire! Hope you like it!

Count Down to the BIG ONE day 2

Well this is really hard to show you without broadcasting my address all over the internet! Or redoing the sheet of labels with a fake address...but hopefully you get the idea! You saw the invite yesterday, so you know his party is Fireman themed. So I actually was able to create a sheet of return address labels to MATCH the invite! HOW COOL IS THAT! I have wanted to make custom labels FOREVER, but I could never figure out a way...and well here, I did it! I LOVE how these turned out even more than the invites! When is the last timeyou saw something THIS COOL on the outside of a piece of your mail...NEVER I bet! I even put a little yellow fire hydrant on the address label too to cordinate! SO COOL! Ok so I just have to say, there is no easy way to paypal this or offer it other than a complete custom order. So if you would like some fun return address labels I would be happy to custom make them for you, print them and mail them to you. Just contact me to wokr out the details!

Count Down to the BIG ONE!

By BIG ONE, I mean Big 1! Josh will be 1 in just a few days! So I will be sharing what I have created for his big #1 Birthday! Here is the invite. I first created his invite as a 4 X 8 and had it printed at shutterfly, well after days of waiting for it to arrive, it came and was chopped off on the right side. I was so upset. But I didn't have time to remake them and wait for them to be delivered so I changed it up a bit and went with a folded card...I like this even better than the first one! (Oh and the chopped off thing was my fault, I have finally grasped the whole concept of bleed! Took me about a year, but a light bulb finally went off and I will NEVER have these problems again! YAY)
Here is the front of the card, I LOVE it...the big Fire truck Engine #1!!!
The inside of the card with all the details!

Homemade Picture Puzzle

Ok well if you thought the hot plate was the coolest thing ever....well this...it's just even better! It's a homemade block picture puzzle! Doesn't it look like tons of fun to try and figure out?! And see of course I could have just used some pictures for the puzzle but that would have been way too quick and easy! So I made scrapbook pages for each side of the puzzle, some with multiple photos! This is going to be a tough one to put together! And some seriously great news is...I have the "kit" available for you too! By kit I mean you get the 6 scrapbook page downloads, sized perfectly for your puzzle, you add your photos and then you can follow the tutorial that has plenty of pictures and detailed instructions so you can create you own block picture puzzle! Over teh next few days I will be showing you the up close finished scrapbook pages with my kids photos, well cause they are cute!

Homemade Magnets!

So as I was going through the desk drawer I found that I had 2 printable magnet sheets! So of course I had to use some of my fabulous fall pictures to make some fun magnets! This was such a fun and easy project to do and I LOVE having pictures of us as our magnets! So all I did was pick a few photos and arrange them on an 8.5 X 11 page, I sized my magnets about 2 X 3...I think maybe a little bigger...either way I got 9 on my sheet. Then I simply told the printer to print! And here they are, some homemade magnets! Of course I did say I had 2 sheets of magnet paper, so I have some fun scrapbook-y type magnets to make next, ooh maybe Halloween magnets! Keep an eye out, you know I will show you when I finish them!
The group of magnets arranged so nicely before use!

The file I arranges and printed, you can see that 2 of them have had fun photo masks done to them along with some muting of the color, it's hard to see in the photo but they also have the boys names and ages on them too!

Fun Fall Hot Plate

So I had a stroke of brilliance and decided to make myself some lovely photo hot plates! The hot plates and hot pads I have are completely boring! And once you see these, you will think yours are boring too! When they could be made with pictures of your wonderful family for cheaper than you could buy one, you just HAVE to try it out! So I did! And it came out fabulously! You can see here is my finished hot plate: Here is an up close of the 2 I made for myself (digital version) so you can see the pictures and how cute the pages are.
And here is the preview with all 6 pages I created. The great thing is these pages are 6 X 6 so even if you don't want to make a hot plate you can always use them as scrapbook pages! When you buy the download you will get the .PNG files for all 6 pages as well as a full tutorial with pictures detailing the supplies you need and how to complete the project! I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do, I can't wait to use these on Thankgiving to set the hot dishes on! Everyone can check out their cuteness while they wait for dinner to be ready!

Crafty Idea Book

So I am always writing my crafty ideas on random post it notes...and well those get lost, or start to pike up and I have no idea where my ideas are! And then I forget about all the great ideas I had, cause I lose them...so I decided to make a notebook to keep track of everything in one handy little place! I created this file digitally, I love the look of it, almost looks just like my craft desk! And then I simply uploaded it to shutterfly and printed out a lined 200 page notebook with my design as the cover! How fun is that?!! You can also get a blank notebook, which I will be creating for my artist of a son soon here...per his request. So if you like my notebook and want your own, I thought I would offer up the file...then I realized this kit isn't for commercial use :( SO....you can't have THIS particular notebook, but if you would like me to create one for you just send me an email and I would be happy to make one up with one of my commercial use kits, and offer it here on the blog for the usual $1. The file
The finished product!
