Monster's Inc Baby Shower Round Up

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the fun things I did for my sister's baby shower. I really love to throw themed parties, and I love to use digital scrapbooking in tons of different ways to tie in the theme and have everything coordinate! I was so excited about the theme of her baby shower, and I loved creating everything for it!  So here is a round up of all the different things I made.  Be sure to look back through the past posts to read more details about each thing!

There was the new mom survival kit, which was a huge box full of all sorts of chocolates and candies (of course in the colors of the party!)

Hand sanitizers we used as prizes for the baby bingo game

Mini jar candles we found at the $1 store were also prizes for bingo, we wrapped them with a matching wrapper and they went right along with our theme!

We played baby bingo, one of my favorite games to play at showers during gift opening!

A view of the room with the centerpieces set up

The entry table

Our clothespin game set up, the pins were pinned to the rule card for everyone to grab when they walked in!

It was fun getting everyone's predictions for when the baby will arrive and what his stats will be!

The advice cards and the little photo album I made for them to go in.

Gift table sign

Skinny bags filled with matching sixlets and topped with some cute cupcake toppers

ah my gift, a bunch of adorable Monster's Inc baby clothes strung up on a clothesline, it was a decoration that matched the theme and her gift all in one!  The clothes are what inspired the whole shower theme, I saw these adorable onesies at Target and knew I had to do it for the shower!

wrapped Hershey nuggets

Push Pop container with a matching wrapper, filled with more sixlets

Our fun candy game...read more about it HERE

Our favors will lip balms with some adorable wrappers that said Amy's baby shower with the date so everyone can think about her when they go to use their lip balm!

We had out bowls of hershey kisses to snack on, and of course they had little stickers on the bottoms of them to match the theme!

The mommy to be!

She had these cute little guys so we added them in for extra cute-ness!

And finally the cake I made! I found the adorable plates and napkins online, they go with a 1st birthday set, but I just bought the things that didn't say 1st birthday and they went with out theme perfectly!!

I hope you enjoyed looking at all the fun things we did for the shower! And if you are planning a baby shower of your own and need some printables, feel free to email me, I love to do custom orders!

Monsters Inc Baby Shower Day 11

Last but not least was the cool cake I made for the shower!  I have a secret love of cake decorating. I am not a pro by any means, but I have gotten good over the years making themed birthday cakes to match my kids' parties!  The shower was no exception. There was no way we would have gotten as cute of a cake from the store, so it had to be made! I have this cool decorating tip that helped make the bottom cake look like fur, the top cake was super simple, overall not a hard cake to decorate, but well worth the time to add to the theme of the shower.  I also found these adorable plates and napkins online, they are part of a 1st birthday monsters inc line of products, so I just purchased the ones that were not 1st birthday themed...they worked perfect with our theme!!

my sister had these cute little guys, so we added them in to the decor!

Well that's all for the Monsters Inc Baby Shower, I hope you enjoyed looking at all the pictures and ideas! Stop by tomorrow to see everything all in one place!

Monsters Inc Baby Shower Day 10

Phew! I have had lots to show you!  Have you gotten some good ideas??  This is one of my favorite things we made!  Everyone got a lip balm as their party favor! I wanted to give something practical that everyone would use, and I thought..why not some lip balm!  So I made a cute little wrapper to match the theme, and even customized it with the date, then we just bagged them up and tied them with some cute ribbon! It was an adorable favor, and something people will carry around with them for some time :)

Come back tomorrow to see the cake, and then the next day for the round up of everything we did for the shower!

Monsters Inc Baby Shower Day 9

Another cute thing we made were candy stickers and wrappers. I found these cute clear bowls at the $1 store, 4 for $1! They were perfect! We sat out a bowl of nuggets and kisses at each table, and of course they matched the theme with nugget wrappers and kiss bottoms to coordinate!
And think about using these as favors too!  You don't just have to set them out, why not tie up a little baggie of these as your party favor?? Simple and adorable! Well...and tasty too!

I also love my push pop containers, so we made up one to put on each table with a cute wrapper and filled it with candies in the shower colors!

We had left over candies so I filled some skinny bags and put a cupcake topper circle on top and each guest got one of these as they left!

Monsters Inc Baby Shower Day 8

Have you been getting some good baby shower ideas??  Don't forget to pin some of these ideas if you like them so you don't forget about them!  I have some more things to share with you today!  First, I made these adorable baby prediction cards. I have this ragged piece of notebook paper that we passed around to relatives to have them guess the gender (we were always surprised  with our kids) and the date of their arrival and other stats. I knew I wanted to do something similar for my sister, so I came up with these little cards for everyone to fill out!  She now has a stack of them with everyone's guess. Since we knew it was a boy that wasn't on there, but it will be fun to see who was the closest with all their guesses!

The other thing I did for her was I made up some advice cards. These are just 4 x 6 cards with lines on them that say advice for the new mom. Everyone got to fill one out at the shower.

I then found a 4 X 6 photo album and just slid the completed cards into the album so she has a cute little book full of the advice from everyone that came to her shower. Of course I had to make a cute cover for it too!

Hope for Brady 3rd annual blog train

The Hope for Brady Blog Train began 3 years ago when a designer friend of mine, Michelle, 4 My Babies Scraps needed to raise money to get her little guy some speech tools he needed that were very expensive and not covered by insurance.  We easily reached the goal the first year and we continue to do it every year to raise awareness about autism and help raise money for the Son Rise Program.  Just 2 years later since the first blog train and Michelle's little guy Brady is actually talking!  You can read all about everything HERE.  I created this kit 2 years ago, and it is still sold on my blog, but it is now available in my store.  All proceeds from the sale of the Hope for Brady kit and extras will be donated to the Son Rise program.  Let's help spread awareness about autism and get these children the things they need most!  You can find the Hope for Brady kit in my store HERE.  Or if you would like to make a bigger contribution and get TONS for a great price, purchase the MEGA Bundle which can be found HERE

You can download this free paper pack HERE

Follow along the train to pick up pieces along the way!

Monsters Inc Baby Shower Day 7

Today I thought I would share some more decorations, mainly the centerpieces.  These were really simple to make, they were lightweight and easy to set up!  And best of all, they looked really cool!  I got some tissue paper pom poms from the party store, they come in a pack of 3 in every color you can imagine. I also got the clear buckets at the bottom at the party store for just $1 each!  The big pole in the middle is just a dowel rod wrapped with white streamers.  The rod is secured in the bucket using a piece of floral foam wrapped in tissue paper.  So we fluffed the pom poms, then put the rods into the buckets, and then I hot glues the pom poms onto the rods.  Not too tricky, and made for a fabulous centerpiece!  The best thing is they can be taken apart and used over and over again!  Just change your tissue paper colors and you can match any theme!

So I had a extra pom pom, so instead of 2 on this one, I put the gift table sign on the bottom of the pole and we had this on the gift table

Here is one on the table

Here they all are..pretty!

And last but not least, a fabulous idea for decoration and a gift!  The whole shower was inspired by these cute clothes I bought at Target...so I thought, well they match perfectly, why not string them up on a clothesline and have them be decoration and a gift at the same time!  So that's what I did, all of these cute clothes are monsters inc clothes that I hung up with some clothespins.  They matched the decorations, were a decoration themselves and they were my gift to my sister too!
